My Family sessions are all inclusive. This means you don't have to choose your images for a price, you just get the entire session content through temporary online personal gallery ready to make prints or anything you wish.
The number of images you get is determined by how the session goes and my aim is to get as much as I can for you. You can expect a very minimum of 50 images.
relaxed sessions at home
Whether you like cuddling on the couch or chasing your children round the table, home sessions are a laid back and fun showing your families everyday beauty & connection - with your home as a backdrop.
They show each of you individually, as well as interacting with each other in pairings.
These sessions are all about you and include simple portraits for more classic images, chilled out time with kids on your big bed, and all the fun stuff you like doing together as family.
easy studio session
I like to keep things super relaxed, pretty much like a very fun play date.
We singing, your kids can take their pick from the toys that I have in the studio.We get some fantastic photos while they play and have a whale of a time with you cuddling them, tickling and playing together. All the while I snap away, capturing every giggle and smile.

I believe the printed element in my parcel is a huge part of the experience of appreciating excellent quality and there is nothing quite like touching and feeling the physical print. Therefore your session come with a beautiful 20x20 inch fine art nine image collage print, personally designed using images from your session. It will be delivered to your home directly.
HOW MANY IMAGES DO I GET?
This one is a little difficult to establish before, but in general family and newborn you will get a very minimum of 50 images. The number of images is dependent on how the session goes but I will do my absolute best to get as many as I can for you.
session time & duration
Family sessions and are shot in the mornings (studio & at home) and an hour before the sunset (on outdoor location). They go for 2 hours.
can I book for the home session at the weekend?
I offer afternoon sessions for an outdoor experience that are available for weekend bookings - these are done approx. 90 mins before sunset (and go for two hours in total).
If your preferred choice is to have a family in home session (these are taking place in the morning), then the weekend morning sessions can be arranged on request. Normally this is the time I spent with my own little family, however I understand that taking a day off during the week for your session is not always possible. Morning session are subject to an additional fee of $150.

how to book
To proceed with a booking, please confirm your preferred date with me.
Payment of a $100 deposit (deducted from the total session fee), secures your session with THE FITZROYS PHOTOGRAPHY. Deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due the week of your session.
can grandparents be in the photos?
All-inclusive pricing includes children & parents portraits but does not include extended family or pets due to the additional shooting and editing time required. For additional family members, please add $100/person.
do you do the hair & make-up?
No. Feel free to have this done for your session by a pro (or just do it yourself).
what do i bring and what do i wear?

session location & duration
At your favourite location, or someplace new. Hills, beach, woodland, grassy cliff, park? Where would you like to venture out?
Outdoor sessions are scheduled for late afternoon, approximately 90 mins before sunset, and go for approx. 2 hours. These take place on the weekends (subject to availability).
In-home sessions are best done in the mornings and are around 2 hours long. These lifestyle sessions are scheduled for during the week.
Studio sessions are taking place in the mornings (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays) and are around 90 mins - two hours long. These family sessions can also be arranged on Saturdays - these are subject to availability and weekend surcharge (see FAQ at the end of this page for more details).

These sessions are fun and you relax into it naturally while I snap away and record the moments with your loved ones in a beautiful light.
They capture space where siblings can run and play silly together & love you have for each other. Perhaps even you & your partner in the moment that initially brought you together.

HOW DO I PREPARE my home?
All clients that book in with me receive a welcome guide that includes all this handy information!
I shoot around your house in a well lit rooms, this usually include master bedroom with a large bed and living area with comfortable chairs/sofas - to create relaxed mix of images of your family at home together.
The light is essential to a successful shoot and beautiful images, therefore if you feel the rooms are lacking sufficient sunlight and windows are small, you may want to consider the alternative of a studio session an outdoor family session instead.
DO YOU DO PAYMENT PLANS?
No, I don’t offer payment plans however clients are welcome to pay in instalments before their session if it helps.
DO YOU DO VOUCHERS?
I only offer vouchers to those that are already booked in with me. So if you have a friend that’s booked me already for their session and you would like to contribute to, I’m more than happy to help.
I strictly do not do gift vouchers for people who have not booked in with me themselves.
DO YOU DO ALBUMS?
Yes. I offer beautiful minimalistic style photo books & linen albums.
WILL YOU DO LARGER FORMAT PRINTING?
Yes, I can offer up to 40×30″ prints and I have an Australian framer whom I use if your desire is to have your prints displayed.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
My turn-a-round time to receive your gallery is 40-60 days. If your booking was made as a last minute arrangement, you will be advised of current lead times and can expect short delay outside of the above turnaround. Your chosen printed products are usually back and posted to your doorstep on average within 2 weeks after your selection is submitted back to me.
what are your business hours?
Studio is open by appointments only during the week servicing Newborn, Baby, Maternity, First Birthday sessions. All sessions start in the morning around 10AM.
Weekends are reserved for the family sunset sessions are planned start approximately 90 mins before the sun set.
If you require session to take place over the weekend, if possible, I will do my best to accomodate you. For all the weekend session bookings there is a fee of $150 (Newborn, Family), or $100 (Baby, Maternity, First Birthday).
